Test Results

test_vials2Test and investigation results are normally passed on and explained to you by the doctor or nurse at your next appointment. If you speak to a receptionist, you can be told if the results have been returned by the hospital or laboratory, and the doctor's comments about the test result can be passed on to you.

The receptionists are not able to explain the meaning of results, however, they can normally pass on information about a test result to the person the test relates to, and not a third party.

After a test result has been received, you may be contacted by our telephonist team to make an appointment or to collect a prescription.

You are able to see the results of any test if you subscribe to our on-line services where you can order repeat prescriptions, book appointments , see test results and a summary of your care record.
